Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP)

Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP) provides enrichment activities to foster creativity, enhance academics, and increase self-esteem. The program is available to all of our enrolled students Pre-K through fifth grade at their enrolled site. Students must be able to display age appropriate social and self-help skills in order to be enrolled in the program. Homework club is always available. Other exciting activities include the following:

Fees for the program run through the last day of  school and are $150.00 a month. There is a 10% discount for more than one child per family. Early Learning Coalition is accepted at Hartsfield Extended Day Enrichment Program. Families who qualify for subsidized childcare can register their child in EDEP to pay the balance of fees that the Early Learning Coalition does not cover.

“Drop in” students are $12.00 per day and must be pre-arranged with the program coordinator. Parents that pick children up late are charged a late fee of $12.00 per half-hour.

Early Morning Care

The Extended Day Enrichment Program will offer early morning care for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students. The program will be from 6:45 am - 7:45 am. The fee is $50.00 a month per student. A student may also use the EDEP "drop in" service. The fee for the morning will be $5.00. The drop in fee is due the morning you drop the student off.

21st Century

The 21st Century Program is designed to give students and their families an opportunity to continue to learn new skills and discover new abilities after the school day has ended. This program is provided free to Hartsfield’s second through fifth grade students thanks to a federally funded grant. The focus of this program is to provide additional academic and enrichment opportunities for our students. The 2st Century Program is by invitation, if you are interested please contact Mrs. Zengel.

The tutorial services and academic enrichment activities are designed to help our students with local and state academic standards in subjects such as reading, writing, and math. In addition, the program provides programs such as the following:

Nutrition

 

Each of these activities is designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of the participating students.
